Cell-based immunotherapy involves the use of natural killer cells to treat diseases that compromises our immune system such as cancer.
Natural killer (NK) cells are the first responders in the immune system. They eliminate and control tumours, and microbial infections by limiting their spread and subsequent tissue damage. They also play pivotal functions in cancer immune surveillance by eliminating cancer or abnormal cells without harming the healthy cells.
Secretomes are protein signallers found in Mesenchymal Stem Cells. Their primary function is to optimise and trigger cell-to-cell signalling within our system to promote the cells function and healing benefits in patients. It helps to reduce inflammation and encourages to body to heal naturally.
The use of Secretomes is new in the field of Regenerative Medicine. Due to their biological functions, Secretomes are emerging in the field particularly in applications to the skin, such as treating wounds, rejuvenation (anti-aging) purposes, as well as joint pain management.
Each therapy is designed and suited to each patient on a case-to-case basis. The treatment itself can last between 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the administration.
Stem cell therapy is not a quick treatment. Most patients will not experience any changes during their time of treatment. We typically expect stem cells to reach their full potential around 3-6 months after treatment. That being said, it is not uncommon for patients to continue seeing results up to a full year after treatment.

Mothers undergo a series of tests for all major diseases including hepatitis and HIV. Details on family history are also collected from each mother prior to donation.
This represents the first step of the screening process for donated umbilical cords. Women who have only been fully screened and found to be completely healthy are allowed to donate.
Stem cell treatment side effects?
There are no apparent harmful effects of stem cell therapy. Patients may experience some side effects upon receiving stem cell treatment, indicating that the stem cells are working.
A patient may experience minor symptoms such as headaches or nausea in the hours following the treatment. In the first 48 hours, patients may also experience symptoms in which the current symptoms flare up and seem worse than before.
This is usually a sign that the stem cells have found their target. Symptoms typically go away one or two days after appearing.
